Squad announcement! A month til the World Cup!
One of the most exciting days of the full World Cup build up, the England squad announcement. Slightly annoyingly, there’s so many leaks that you don’t get the full effect of it, it’s drip fed and Roy basically stands there confirming what you already knew, but still.
Ross Barkley goes, who I’ve been hoping to go since about September, a real genuine difference maker. Potential to win games, and put the team on his back. Will probably start the tournament as a substitute but that’s not an issue.
Delighted to see Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana go too, the perfect answer to these nonsense B league suggestions, players can learn and develop in the existing structure, eventually excelling. I couldn’t be happier for them.

How can that be the Premier League season finished already? Absolutely crazy.
An incredibly satisfying end to the season, Jose coming and outwitting Brendan combined with Stevie G slipping away proving seriously decisive. Wonderful.
